The University of Arizona is a public research institution. It was the state of Arizona’s first university, established in 1885. It is also an elected member of the Association of American Universities, and the only representative from Arizona to this group. The University, which is governed by the Arizona Board of Regents, provides an accessible and engaging environment that motivates students to achieve their goals. The Center for World University Rankings ranked the University of Arizona 34th in the United States and 52nd in the world in 2017. 

It is spread across 380 acres in central Tucson. The campus is divided into quadrants, with the north and south sides outlined by a grassy cover known as the Mall, and the west and east sides roughly separated by the Student Union Memorial Center and Highland Avenue. The University of Arizona is home to over 600 multicultural, philanthropic, academic, athletic, social, and student clubs, as well as campus institutions. Arizona Business and Professional Women’s Foundation Scholarships 

  • Amount: 1,500 USD

The University of Arizona scholarships are available to women in Arizona who are 25 or older. They must be new or returning students at an Arizona community college or trade school. Applications are available on the ABPW Foundation website or in the financial aid office of the student’s prospective school.

Arizona Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (AzLEAP) 

  • Amount: Up to 2,500 USD

This scholarship is available to students who live in Arizona and can demonstrate a significant financial need by being eligible for the Federal Pell Grant. They must be enrolled at least part-time at an Arizona college or university. Applications can be submitted using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Arizona CPA Foundation High School Scholarship

  • Amount: 500 USD

A high school senior must enrol full-time in the fall following graduation at an Arizona college or university and declare an accounting major. The student must also be a resident of Arizona. Students who are interested in applying should visit the website for more information.

ASTA Arizona Chapter Professional Development Scholarship 

  • Amount: 12 awards of $1,250 & 12 awards from $1,500 to $2,500

Applicants for this scholarship must have at least two years of travel industry experience and be a member of the ASTA Arizona Chapter. This scholarship is used to reimburse applicants for ASTA or The Travel Institute Educational Program continuing education costs.

AWS John C. Lincoln Memorial Scholarship

  • Amount: One $3,500 award

A resident of Arizona who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in welding engineering or welding engineering technology is eligible to apply. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA, and be able to attend any college or university in the United States.

Flinn Foundation Scholarships

  • Amount: This scholarship covers tuition, fees, room and board, and two international trips for 20 high-achieving high school seniors attending Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, or the University of Arizona.

For availing of such University of Arizona scholarships, students must be Arizona residents, have a least 3.5 cumulative GPA, be in the top 5% of their graduating class, and have a minimum SAT or ACT score of 1300 or 29. Applications are available on the website.

Korean American Scholarship Foundation – Western Regional Chapter 

  • Amount: 500 to 5,000 USD

This scholarship is open to students of Korean descent, regardless of citizenship status in the United States. They must be enrolled full-time, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, and be attending a university or college in Arizona or another western regional state enclosed by this chapter.

MGMA Western Section Scholarships

  • Amount: One $2,500 award

The applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student in a medical practice management or a related degree programme in an MGMA Western section state, such as Arizona. For more information, applicants should email scholarship@mgma.org

NIADA Foundation Regional Scholarships

  • Amount: Four $3,500 scholarships

This scholarship is open to one high school senior from the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association’s Region IV, which includes Arizona. Through SAT or ACT scores, the student must demonstrate excellent academic achievement as well as the ability to complete college coursework.

NSHSS Tesoro Youth Leadership Awards

  • Amount: 20 $2,500 scholarships

This is a new scholarship programme for high school seniors who live in one of the 19 states where Tesoro Industries does business, such as Arizona. Students must show financial need, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and write a 500-word essay in response to a question on the application.

Presbyterian Student Opportunity Scholarship

  • Amount: 80 $2,000 scholarships

Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Technical School Scholarship

The Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute offers scholarships to students in their first year of technical or trade school who want to work in the coal industry. The Mario Cugia Italian Studies Scholarship Program 

  • Amount: There are 200 $400 first-year scholarships available. These students are then eligible for $500 scholarships for the second year, $600 scholarships for the third year, and $1,000 scholarships for the fourth year.

Applicants must be Roman Catholics of Italian descent, have a 3.2 GPA, and live in Arizona, California, Nevada, or Illinois. They must also show financial need. Applicants can obtain more information and an application by visiting the website.

Women in Science Scholarship

  • Amount: One $2,500 scholarship

This scholarship is intended for a female Arizona resident pursuing a degree in medicine or natural sciences at an Arizona college or university. Female students in their senior year and up are eligible to apply, and they must submit a letter of recommendation as well as a personal video. The Women in Science Scholarship website is where applicants can sign up.

Arizona College Access Aid Program

  • Amount: $2,000 on a first-come, first-serve basis. Limited funds.

This is one of the University of Arizona scholarships’ newest grant programmes. This grant is available to college and university students in their sophomore, junior, and senior years who can demonstrate a significant financial need.
