About

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is a public research institution located in Nottingham, England. Although the Nottingham Government School of Design was established in 1843 and is still a part of the university today, it was founded as a new institution of higher learning in 1992.

 

NTU offers four top-notch campuses in Nottingham, England, in the United Kingdom. The School of Social Sciences, the Centre of Broadcasting and Journalism, the School of Architecture, the School of Art & Design, Design and the Built Environment, and the Nottingham Law School are all located on the City Campus. In addition, it houses The Hive, the university's entrepreneurship hub, and Boot Library. The School of Science and Technology, Nottingham Institute of Education, and the School of Arts and Humanities are all located on the Clifton Campus. Green Zone, ISTeC Center, The Point, sports centre, and Pavilion are all located there.

  • A 65% or higher grade average in four relevant subjects (excluding native language) could qualify for first-year entry into Bachelor's degrees.

Three and four-year Bachelor's degrees Eligibility for a Postgraduate taught course may be possible with the following qualifications:

  • Grades of 55% (2.1) and 50% (2.2) from the University of Mumbai, the University of Kolkata, and the University of Delhi. Grades of 60% (2.1) and 55% (2.2) from other recognised universities in India. For results in a GPA format, please email india@ntu.ac.uk.
  • Master's degrees Grades of 50% or higher from recognised universities in India could qualify for a postgraduate taught course.

English Language Requirements
 

To meet the University's language requirements, one of the following is necessary:

Higher Secondary Certificate (Standard XII) - Awarded by CBSE and select State Boards, including Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu (Board of Higher Secondary Examinations), and Kerala.

  • 70/100 (70%) or 160/200 (80%) 

A degree from the following universities:

  • The University of Mumbai; The University of Delhi; The University of Calcutta; The University of Bangalore; Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly The University of Pune); The University of Chennai/Madras; Osmania University; The University of Goa; University of Kolkata/Calcutta; National Law School of India University (NLSIU). Students not meeting the English language requirements are encouraged to take a Pre-sessional English language for Academic Purposes (PEAP) course.

Other accepted tests and minimum scores include:

  • IELTS: 6.0 for undergraduate, 6.5 for postgraduate
