With 94% of graduates moving on to full-time employment or higher study within six months after graduation, NTU was cited by The Guardian in 2008 as "one of the best places in the UK for graduate employment." In 2013, the QS World University Rankings placed it at number 600 overall. According to WhatUni's 2015 "Student Choice Awards," the university came in at number twelve. The university was ranked 31st for student experience out of 113 universities nationwide by the Times Higher Education in the same year. Nottingham Trent won the Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education in the area of Science and Mathematics in November 2015. In June 2017, the institution got a Gold rating from the UK Teaching Excellence Framework. The Guardian named the university the University of the Year in 2019. It also received a Bronze Athena SWAN Award in 2019 for its efforts to enhance gender equality. The Guardian placed it at number 12 in the UK in 2020. In 2022, the Times Higher Education subject rankings place the university's Business and Economics course between 401 and 500th. Since 2019, this course's ranking has remained in place. The Accounting and Finance course was ranked 46th in 2022 and 43rd in 2023 by The Complete University Guide. According to the Complete University Guide, the Business & Management Studies programme is ranked at position 46 in 2023 and position 55 in 2022. In 2022, NTU's Engineering & Technology will be ranked between 501st and 600th according to the Times Higher Education. The Civil Engineering course is ranked 30th in 2023 and 34th in 2022 by the Complete University Guide.
