Overview
About
Atlantic Technological University Galway is a multi-campus technical university in Ireland's west and northwest that offers a diverse mix of academic and research excellence, quality of life, and opportunity. GMIT, LYIT, and IT Sligo were authorised for recognition as Atlantic Technical University, Ireland's newest technological university, which was formally founded in 2022. ATU Galway, founded in 1972, comprises a number of buildings on the city's east side facing Galway Bay, as well as a variety of sports facilities.
Because of the three unique sail-shaped copper panels at the front of the main structure, ATU Galway City's headquarters on the Old Dublin Road is one of Galway's defining monuments. This one-of-a-kind design helps to distinguish the institution as a modern technology leader while also hosting the Library and IT Centre. Undergraduate and postgraduate degrees are available at ATU Galway in business, science, computers, engineering, culinary arts, hospitality, tourism, and heritage. ATU has four main Schools of study -
- ATU Galway International Hotel School
- ATU School of Business
- ATU School of Engineering
- ATU School of Science & Computing
The School of Design and Creative Arts is housed in ATU Galway City's Wellpark Road campus, which is even closer to Galway City centre. This location is a swarm of creative activities and home to a number of creative businesses. It provides design, contemporary art, video and documentary courses, as well as teacher education in art, design, and graphics. A research degree from ATU will give students an in-depth education in a certain area. Under the supervision of an expert academic advisor, the university's programmes integrate research technique training, coursework, and, in certain circumstances, industrial experience. Research ATU provides postgraduate options at the Level 9 (Masters) and Level 10 levels (PhD).
