The University of Derby is a public university located in the English city of Derby (formerly known as Derby College). Its beginnings can be found in 1851, with the founding of the Derby Diocesan Institute for the Training of Schoolmistresses. In 1992, it was given university status. The University of Derby provides undergraduate and graduate programmes in both offline and online formats. There are also a few short courses offered in a few specialisations.
