This means, to be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship in the UK, you need to have a good academic record. This means you must receive a 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent) in your previous level of study. Doctoral students must score a minimum of 65% in their Master’s degree as well as have practical work experience for at least 1 year before applying for the scholarship. Depending on the level of study as well as the quality of your scholarship application, you will be eligible for either: 143,000 yen, 144,000 yen or 145,000 yen per month. This can be used to cover the cost of your living expenses or use it to cover your tuition fees.
