Rice University is known to have the lowest acceptance rate in Texas. Comparing recent years’ university acceptance rate, the average Rice University acceptance rate for 2021-2022 was around 11%.   • You can add additional documents, a Rice writing essay, International Student Financial Statement, and an Architecture portfolio (For Architecture applicants only). 
  • Pay the non-refundable online fee of 75 USD to complete the application. 

The Rice University Intakes & Deadlines 

Rice University offers two intakes for the students. The first-year students/ applicants will complete high school by the end of the current academic year, enrol in concurrent high school and college courses, or have taken time off between graduating and enrolling in college. The first-year application for early decisions must be submitted by November 1, and for regular admission must be submitted by January 4.  

Students who have completed a high school diploma or maintained at least 12 semester hours of college credit are eligible for transfer. Rice university accepts applications for the fall and spring semesters. The application deadline is November 1 for spring and March 15 for fall intake.
