Since these are scholarships for development studies, recipients can pursue their postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related study fields at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region. This scholarship covers tuition fees, a monthly stipend, housing allowance, medical insurance and travel expenses. It also provides an allowance for books and instructional materials.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a member of the ADB member country.
- Applicants must have secured admission for a postgraduate course at an academic institution.
- Applicants must have at least 2 years of professional working experience.
- Applicants must not be more than 35 years at the time of applying.
- Candidates must return to his/her country of residence after completion of their course.

DAAD Scholarships
DAAD scholarships are aimed at undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral students. In addition to creating a cohort of DAAD Scholars in Germany, the institute also organised a Third Country Programme specifically designed to provide scholarships for development studies
- Only those students who wish to complete a full-time course of study with mandatory attendance from a German university can apply for this scholarship.
- The applicant should have completed their undergraduate level of study in not more than the last six years.
- At least 2 years of proven work experience is required.
- If you wish to study in Germany for a short period of 6 months, it is mandatory for you to be present in your country of residence at the time of application.
- If you wish to study in Germany for more than 6 months, your previous degree must be obtained from your home degree.
Since they are fully funded scholarships, the amount is contributed towards tuition, living expenses, health, and travel. The monthly stipend varies between 850 euros to 1200 euros depending upon the type of degree you wish to pursue. Free on-campus accommodations will be provided with these development studies scholarships.
Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship Grants For Development
The Rotary Foundation provides scholarships for development studies if they are working on any of the following 6 areas of study:

Scholarship Value:
The scholarships fund graduate-level coursework or research for one to four academic years. Most personal and miscellaneous expenses are not covered by the scholarship funding.

Australia Awards Scholarships, formerly known as Australian Development Scholarships (ADS), provide opportunities for

- Students who wish to undertake full time undergraduate or postgraduate development studies at participating Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions.
