Candidates demonstrate their English language competency by taking the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP). The Canadian government accepts this test for immigration purposes. Aside from that, many colleges, universities, and other educational institutions in Canada recognize the English language competence test. Paragon Testing Enterprises, a division of the University of British Columbia, is conducting the test (UBC). CELPIP-General and CELPIP-General LS are the two versions of the CELPIP test.
CELPIP General Test
The CELPIP General test is recognised by the IRCC, the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council, and the Real Estate Council of British Columbia. The CELPIP General Test evaluates a candidate’s reading, writing, listening, and speaking abilities.
The CELPIP-General Test is a common exam taken by persons seeking permanent resident status in Canada through the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Start-up Visa, a range of Provincial Nominee Programs, as well as the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) programme. This test is also appropriate for people looking for work. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has authorised the CELPIP-General Test.
CELPIP-General LS Test
The CELPIP-General LS Test assesses the candidate’s functional Listening and Speaking abilities. Those who need to prove their listening and speaking skills in order to obtain Canadian citizenship take the LS test. The CELPIP General Test is approximately three hours long and may be done in one sitting with no separate speaking session.

The registration process for the CELPIP exam can be done in three different ways:

Online Registration
Those who live outside of Canada and will be taking the exam only outside of Canada must register online.

- To make an online payment, you needed a valid credit or debit card.

CELPIP Dates 2022
Candidates can only take the CELPIP-General Test in India. This CELPIP test is available in Chandigarh, Delhi, and Ahmedabad, Gujarat, at three different locations. The CELPIP General Test is given several times a year. However, you must choose a date and time for registration based on your proximity. You can register for the test whenever you like. CLPIP Scores & Results
The CELPIP Test results will be available online in eight business days. Those who require a CELPIP score fast can choose for Express Rating and receive their findings online in three business days.
Once the CELPIP English test score is available, candidates will receive an email notification. Candidates can view their results in their CELPIP account online. They have two years from the test date to look at the results.
