- How do I apply for a UMD merit scholarship?
Students must submit a finished undergraduate admission application by the early action deadline for the fall semester in order to be considered for merit scholarships. The early action deadline for the fall semester is November 1 for freshmen and March 1 for transfer students. Any merit scholarships awarded by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will automatically be given consideration for accepted applicants. There is no separate application needed in order to be considered for these awards, nor is the FAFSA necessary.
