About

Xavier University, also known as XU, is a private Jesuit Catholic university located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The university was founded in 1831 as a men's college, but it became coeducational in 1969. Today, the university offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in more than 90 fields of study. The university has a rich history of academic excellence and community service. It is committed to the Jesuit tradition of educating the whole person, developing critical thinking skills, promoting social justice, and preparing students to be leaders in their communities.

 

Academics at the university are divided into four colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, the Williams College of Business, the College of Nursing, and the College of Professional Sciences.
