More graduates than in any other field are employed in research, in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors through the University of Chicago placements. In the nine months following graduation, 94% of the Class of 2021 alumni received full-time jobs or were admitted into a PhD program. This result improved to 95% when contract and part-time positions were included (2021 CIR Career Outcomes Survey).
