Medical research underpins every aspect of modern medicine. While research and practice operate as quite separate entities, it is now widely accepted that advanced research skills develop a greater depth of understanding in doctors – and have a hugely positive impact on their practice. Intercalated BSc in Medical Research is designed to enable medical students to engage with a specialist area of research. Accommodate the full spectrum of clinical and biomedical research, allowing students to select research questions in the areas of Medicine they wish to pursue. As well as arming students with key research skills, invaluable to an active and successful career informed by their own research, we aim to instill a love of research that contributes positively to patient care.
