About
The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a public research university in Norwich, England. The university, which was founded in 1963, is located on a 320-acre (130-hectare) campus west of the city centre and comprises four faculties and 26 schools of study. An undergraduate offer rate of 85.1% was achieved in 2021, and the institution's yearly income for 2020 - 2021 was £292.1 million, of which £35.2 million came from research grants and contracts.
The university offers more than 500 undergraduate and graduate degrees to students from all over the world. It graduated its first class three years later with the motto "do different." The Norwich Research Park, one of Europe's largest number of scientists working in the subjects of environment, health, and plant science, includes the university as a prominent member.
Three Nobel laureates, a co-discoverer of the Hepatitis C and Hepatitis D genomes, a lead developer of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, one Royal Society President, and at least 48 Fellows of the Royal Society are all UEA alumni and faculty. Along with three Booker Prize winners, alumni also include leaders of state, governments, and multinational organisations. The alumni include notable individuals such as Matt Smith (English Actor), Tito Mboweni (Minister of Finance of South Africa), Jiang Shuying (Chinese Actress), Sarah Gilbert (British Vaccinologist, Professor of Vaccinology at the University of Oxford and Co-Founder of Vaccitech), and many others.

The institution has a special location on a 320-acre campus in Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom, only two miles from the city's centre and the first UNESCO City of Literature in England. On campus, there are about 200 active student groups and organisations. The University Sportspark, the renowned Sainsbury Center, the majestic Ziggurats, The Square, a meeting spot, and the INTO centre, which provides top-notch preparation for undergraduate and graduate students, are just a few of the key University of East Anglia facilities. Although it is permissible for students to reside off campus, most do so after their first year. There are several facilities available at homes, including ones for storing food, cooking tools, washing machines, ventilating and air conditioning, drinking water, etc. Most students cook for themselves because almost every dorm has a kitchen.
