Program Overview

With development of modern technologies the detection and diagnosis of cancer has become more sophisticated. With greater insight into the disease processes comes greater knowledge. This MSc is designed to develop and further your understanding and knowledge of oncology, focusing on up-to-date research and developments in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The course is aimed at any member of the healthcare team involved with the diagnosis, treatment and care of the patient.

Course Content
Learning

We will discuss mechanistic models of tumour formation and how knowledge of the cell biology can inform the treatment of a cancer. Hallmarks and associated biomarkers of cancer and how translational systems are merged with current therapies will be considered by examining the problems associated with some of these measurements. You will evaluate new developments in research into oncology.

The programme consists of taught modules and a Research Dissertation.
