Study the smallest but most abundant organisms on the planet, with a particular focus on those that cause human disease, on this highly practical, hands-on course that offers fantastic laboratory facilities.

Microbiologists study the various microorganisms with which we coexist. Many of these microorganisms cause serious human disease (referred to as ‘infectious disease’), whilst others have a positive impact on our health (such as many of the bacteria that live in our gut).
