MA Education in Society

at University of Chester

The course draws most of its modules from those that already exist on other current education MA courses within the Faculty. Each of the courses from which the modules are drawn are led and taught by staff with national and international expertise.

Modules from which to choose are varied and are taken from courses covering a range of disciplines, including:
 

• Leadership and management
• Early childhood
• Inclusive practice, dyslexia and autism
• Marginalisation

Home Students
 

• The MA Education in Society is open to graduates with a 2:2 honours degree. However, non-graduates with relevant professional experience may be invited for interview.
• Applicants will normally be employed in the education sector or be involved in work that may be considered broadly educational, such as working for a charity for vulnerable adults. It is possible for applicants who are not in work to undertake the programme.
• International students will need to evidence a recent IELTS score of no less than 6.5.

International/EU Students
Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate that they have an appropriate level of English language to be eligible to study this course. For the MA Education in Society, we require an overall IELTS score of 6.5, or equivalent (see link below).
