What factors led to the cost-of-living crisis? What are the economic impacts of climate change? How can we address these issues? These are just some of the complex questions that economists are helping to answer. This course focuses on the competencies that are required for working as a professional economist, including the knowledge of relevant advanced economic theories and concepts and their application to real world problems such as inequality and climate change. Addressing those problems using sophisticated data analysis and effectively communicating findings to both economists and non-economists.
