Aberystwyth University

According to the major national rankings, AU is ranked among the top 50 universities in the UK. It is the first university to get the coveted honour of “The University of the Year for Teaching Quality" for two consecutive years, in 2018 and 2019 and is placed 48th out of 132 UK universities in The Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide for 2019. It was ranked in the 301-350 range for 800 universities by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, down from 351-400 the year before, while it was ranked in the 432nd spot for 2019 by the QS World University Rankings, down from 481-490 the year before. In four categories for the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards (THELMAs), the university made the shortlist in 2015. The Welsh Government's quality certification for workplace health promotion, the Corporate Health Standard (CHS), has given the university a Silver Award. The university has received an Athena SWAN Charter Award in recognition of its dedication to improving women's careers in higher education and research in the fields of science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine (STEMM).
