• The requirement for entry onto a Postgraduate course is successful completion of a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution. The average grades depend on the course chosen, with the minimum for some courses being 50-55% or GCPA 6.0 in a relevant Bachelors degree from a recognised institution.
• Non-graduates with at least 2 years of relevant full-time work experience are welcome to apply. In this case your application will be assessed on an individual basis.
• Alternatively, applicants are required to provide evidence of IELTS, or equivalent accepted test, at 7.5

The Integrated Masters degree in Marine and Freshwater Biology is designed to develop the breadth and depth of your knowledge, along with the competence and confidence in research methods required to pursue a career as a professional scientist. Marine and Freshwater Biology graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge to enter a wide range of careers including ecological consultancy, environmental management and conservation, teaching and scientific journalism. The MBiol is also a recognised alternative to MSc for progression to a PhD studentship, and an excellent foundation for a career as a professional scientist.
