Dundalk Institute of Technology Entry Requirements

Dundalk Institute of Technology entry requirements differ from one programme to another. You must submit a standard application through the CAO if you are an EU citizen or a non-EU citizen who resides in the EU and want to enrol in a DkIT course at the first-year level. Please apply online at the official website if you are a non-EU applicant for one of the courses at DkIT. Include the necessary paperwork with your application:

  • Academic transcripts
  • Degree certificate (if applicable)
  • IELTS (or equivalent) transcripts
  • Passport copy

If your application is accepted, you will either be sent an initial letter of offer directly or via the agency's offices.

The first year of the programme's expenses must then be paid in full, and you must show proof of a health insurance policy. Upon full payment of your fees being made to the DKIT account, a definitive letter of offer will be sent. This letter is required in order to submit an application for a student visa. You can apply for a visa at the Department of Justice in Ireland or at the Irish Embassy or Consulate in your area. You can ask the Institute for reimbursement if your visa application is denied.

Dundalk Institute of Technology Placement

Now let’s learn more about Dundalk Institute of Technology placements. Over 900 students per year from the Schools of Business & Humanities, Health & Science, Informatics & Creative Arts participate in work placements coordinated by the Placement Office.

A work placement is a collaboration between the host organisation, the Institute, and the student. For all of these parties, the placement office serves as the primary point of contact when it comes to planning, administration, management, and ongoing growth of the work placement. Through the academic disciplines, the university has formed beneficial connections with a variety of sectors both domestically and overseas. To guarantee that work placements are a mutually advantageous connection where students are given a distinctive learning experience and organisations are given a student who contributes to the benefit of the workplace, DkIT continuously endeavours to develop the industry links.
