About
Washington University in St. Louis (often known as WUSTL or WashU) is a private research university located in St. Louis County and was established in 1853. Many people regard the university as George Washington University as it bears his name. It is one of the most distinguished universities in both the United States and the entire world. Washington University's acceptance rate stands at 13% with around 17,047+ students from more than 100 nations and all 50 US states. Seven graduate and undergraduate schools of the university cover a wide range of academic disciplines. The university's board of trustees added the phrase "in St. Louis" in 1976 to avoid any misunderstandings regarding its location.
Most of the university's undergraduate, graduate, and professional students call the 169-acre campus in the heart of WUSTL their academic home. The academic buildings on the campus, which are surrounded by Forest Park, the cities of St. Louis, Clayton, and University City, are mostly Collegiate Gothic in style. In addition, the institution has campuses in Clayton, North Campus in St. Louis' West End area, and Medical Campus in the Central West End neighborhood. The School of Medicine in St. Louis, together with its related hospitals, clinics, patient care facilities, and research facilities, are housed in the complex.
Since 1923, the university has belonged to the Association of American Universities and is categorized as one of the "R1: Doctoral Universities - Very High Research Activity" institutions. In terms of research and development spending, the university was ranked 28th among American academic institutions by the National Science Foundation. 26 Nobel laureates in economics, physiology and medicine, chemistry, and physics were associated with the university as of 2022, with eleven of them conducting the majority of their groundbreaking research there.

Washington University in St Louis has shown excellence by securing 68 spot on the global scale.The university received a 99 out of 99 grade from The Princeton Review for its admissions selectivity in its 2020 edition. Facilities
Various university administrative operations have been headquartered on North Campus. South Campus houses a few classroom buildings, a gymnasium, an auditorium, or theater, and some athletic fields. On the university's West Campus, there is a conference center and library. 25 miles south of the Danforth Campus is the 2,000-acre Tyson Research Center, an outdoor classroom and research facility. Lambert Airport and the Danforth Campus are connected by MetroLink (the local light rail system). Student Media
At the university, four significant student-run media sources are supported. Students have access to Student Life, the school's student publication. The university community is also served by a wide range of additional publications, including internal academic journals, glitzy alumni magazines, and the student-run satirical daily WUnderground. The student's official radio station is KWUR (90.3 FM).
Athletics
The Bears are the name of the athletic teams of the university. They compete in Division III of the University Athletic Association and are National Collegiate Athletic Association members. In addition, the university boasts a robust club sports program with teams for everything from women's Ultimate Frisbee to men's volleyball.
Museums & Library
The university’s library system, which has 12 libraries and more than 4.2 million books, is the biggest in the state of Missouri. On campus, the major library, Olin Library, is conveniently situated. One of the nation's oldest teaching museums is the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, founded in 1881.

Washington University Entry Requirements
One must submit either the Common Application or the Coalition Application, which are open applications that open on August 1, in order to be admitted to WUSTL. After submitting an application and paying an amount of $75 as the application fee, WashU Pathway will provide students with a login ID. The university offers rolling admission, but in order to be considered, international students must submit all necessary paperwork listed in the Washington University entry requirements below -

The Department of Political Science assists students seeking employment by paying for application packet copies and postage and organizing the creation and distribution of dossiers (including a cover letter from the Department Chair).
