Program Overview

The MS program in Electrical Engineering enables especially well-qualified students to be admitted to the MS program during the junior year, allowing a simultaneous pursuit of the BS and MS degrees. BS/MS students may have up to six credit hours count toward both the undergraduate and graduate requirements to reduce the period of study.

Entry Requirement
- Electrical engineering or similar degree in another branch of engineering or in a related field, provided that the student completes prerequisite courses without graduate credit as defined by the student's graduate committee.
- 3.0 GPA (A = 4.0) or equivalent in an ABET accredited bachelor's program (or international equivalent).
- Students must achieve a score in the 45th percentile on the GRE Verbal examination, the 65th percentile on the GRE Quantitative examination.
- A minimum total of 550 (79 iBT) is required for students for whom English is not the native language. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering recommends that any international student seeking financial support take the TSE.
