University of South Florida Entry Requirements

The following are the University of South Florida entry requirements for the applicant to graduate programmes. Applicants may inquire about any additional application criteria with their chosen programme of interest (e.g. test scores, letters of recommendation, statement of purpose and resume).

According to the Bologna Accord, bachelor's degrees from institutions within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) are comparable. To confirm equivalency, applicants holding a 3-year bachelor's degree from a non-Bologna Accord institution that has fewer than 120 hours must submit a transcript review from a NACES member.

  • Minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) in one of the following ways:
    • All completed undergraduate coursework
    • All completed graduate coursework

The English language competency requirement also applies to applicants from nations where English is not the official language and who have not completed at least a bachelor's degree in the United States. Check the list of nations with an English-speaking population to see if you have to fulfil this criterion. The following minimum test results are needed to prove proficiency:

  • IELTS - 6.5
  • PTE-A - 53
  • TOEFL (iBT - 79; PBT - 550)
  • GRE Verbal - 153
  • Duolingo – 110

The University of South Florida Fees

USF is said to have the lowest tuition rates in the United States. Numerous external agencies, including Kiplinger's Personal Finance and U.S. News & World Report, have given the university national recognition for its affordability and value.

In addition to undergraduate or graduate status, residency, and the kind of housing selected, tuition and fees are determined by these and other variables. However, the costs are frequently comparable to those of nearby universities.
