About
The University of Oklahoma, established in 1890, is a public research university in Norman, Oklahoma, about 20 minutes south of Oklahoma City. OU, which has three campuses in Oklahoma, provides study-abroad opportunities at a variety of campuses and universities across the world. The institution has 29,705 students enrolled in Fall 2022, with the majority attending its main campus in Norman. It employs almost 3,000 faculty members and provides 152 bachelor programs, 160 master's programs, 75 doctoral degrees, and 20 first-year professional majors. It is categorised as "R1: Doctoral Universities with Very High Research Activity." Several national titles have been won by the university, including seven football national championships and two NCAA Division I baseball championships.
The institute had been in operation for 17 years when the state of Oklahoma was formed by the merger of Indian Territory and Oklahoma Territory. It is a member of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU), the Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU), the Universities Research Association (URA), and the Southeastern Universities Research Association (SURA) (SURA). The university campus in Norman is divided into three sections: the main campus, the north campus, and the south campus. Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, the Oklahoma Center for Continuing Education, three colleges, administrative offices, and residences are all located on the main campus.
Students at the university are educated for careers in engineering, management, architecture, law, medicine, history, science, geology, dance, sports, aviation, and meteorology. Admission
University of Oklahoma Entry Requirements
Admission applications are accepted in three intakes: fall, spring, and summer. Undergraduate applications typically open on August 1. Students who want to study at the institution must apply online and pay an application fee of $40 USD.
