University of Louisiana, Lafayette Entry Requirements

Whether you're a first-time applicant to the University of Louisiana, an undergraduate student seeking advanced status, or a returning student re-enrolling after a break, the admissions standards are the same for all applicants. Students wishing to be admitted to the University of Louisiana must make a mandatory application fee payment of $25 which is non-refundable. International students need to have a minimum GPA requirement of 2.5 on a minimum average scale of 4.0. Each applicant must provide the following:

  • Official transcripts from each college and high school attended (in English or with translations)
  • 3 teacher recommendations
  • Official test scores from TOEFL iBT (70) and IELTS (6.0) — all tests must be taken within 2 years of your application date
