In a survey by Wall Street Journal, which primarily focuses on student successes NYIT moved up 11 places this year to ranking #253 compared to 2019. 

• Ranked #2 in New York State and eighth nationally for the environment, a factor that takes into account inclusivity, diversity, and the representation of international students.
• Ranked second for student diversity among regional universities in the North.
• Top 3rd of 796 universities in the 2022 WSJ/THE College Rankings. 
• #31 among 79 universities ranked in New York State. 
• #96 of 258 universities ranked in the Northeast.
• #34 in the category of Regional Universities North by the U.S. 
• News & World Report 2022 #68 in the category of Best Value Schools by the U.S.

Course Rankings

Five schools and two colleges make up the New York Institute of Technology, all of which place a strong emphasis on technology and applied scientific research. When it comes to subject rankings, New York Tech's business programme has received high marks. For students interested in pursuing UG Business at the University, the university was ranked 273 by US News & World Report in 2021.

Prior rankings for the University's UG Business were 292 in 2020 and 312 in 2019. In addition to other considerations, the approach used by US News & World Report to rank subjects includes consideration of student selection (25%), the views of business school administrators (25%), and job outcomes (21%).
