Lyon College’s chemistry program guides students to an understanding of the principles underlying chemistry and the techniques used to discover them. This program will help you become a critical observer, an imaginative problem-solver, a skilled laboratory worker, and an effective communicator. The College's chemistry program offers both Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees. The B.S. is designed primarily for students who will pursue graduate studies within the chemical sciences or seek employment in the chemical industry. The B.A. is suited for students who want to enter the teaching profession.
