Program Overview

The M.S. Ed. in Students with Disabilities Generalist (7-12) prepares candidates to become knowledgeable, caring and inspiring teachers of special education student who are in the seventh through twelfth grades.

This degree prepares teacher candidates to create effective learning environments for students with a variety of disabilities and challenges. In this program, teacher candidates will learn various strategies and methodologies designed to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, both in inclusion and self-contained classrooms. course content will focus on the thirteen disability classifications as determined by Federal and State legislation.
