In the 2023 edition of U.S. News & World Report's Outstanding Colleges, Georgia State University is ranked as the No. 2 most creative university in the country and tied for the No. 1 public university for best undergraduate teaching. Georgia State maintained its second-place ranking in innovation and first-place ranking among public universities in undergraduate instruction in the 2022 poll. The rankings for innovation and undergraduate teaching are based on a survey of college and university presidents, provosts, and admissions deans from throughout the country.
