Students with a major or degree other than those listed require additional preparation beyond the certificate. Students are required to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") and grades of "B" or better in courses of multivariate calculus, linear algebra and introductory statistics at ASU or an equivalent institution.

For International Students: US $12,562 per year.

Graduates who have combined the certificate in civic education with their major program of study may become more marketable to employers. The program helps prepare students for fields in which an understanding of citizenship, leadership, community, democracy, public responsibility and ethics is crucial, such as:
