MODULES
 

• Locating Practice: This module allows the student to evaluate their existing practice and identify their target audience, including competitor analysis and venues to sell and exhibit work.

• Practice and Application: In this module, students will focus on production methods and refining their products to meet market expectations and limitations.

• Advanced Professional Practice: Students are expected to apply for identified exhibition and selling opportunities, and produce work of appropriate standard for these events.

• Practice and Entrepreneurship: This module focuses on high-quality production that evidences the application of skills and intelligence necessary for professional practice. Alongside the practical work, students produce a written report critically reflecting on their creative output including professional, progress and business planning.

We currently require an initial degree in a relevant subject, classified as 2:2 or higher, or evidence of recent activity in the subject equivalent to these classifications as determined by interview.
 

All applicants are expected to hold a good and relevant initial degree or provide a portfolio of their own work to demonstrate their knowledge of the subject and their artistic ability.
 

The fees for MA Professional Art Practitioner may vary from £12,000 to £25,000 annually for tuition fees. The fee's prices may get higher for International Students.

Self-employment and freelance employment are a particular strength within the area, with a high percentage of our graduates going on to start their own workshop businesses supplying galleries and retail outlets.
