What you'll study on this MSc Sport Management degree course
Each unit on this course is worth a certain number of credits.

 

In each year, you need to study units worth a total of 180 credits. For example, 4 units worth 30 credits and 1 unit worth 60 credits.

 

In the event that you are unable to complete the 180 credits for the award of MSc, there are two additional exit awards:

 

• Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert) which is obtained if you have successfully completed 60 credits.
• Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip) which is obtained if you have successfully completed 120 credits.

• Global Sport Event Management – 30 credits
• Managing Human Resources in Sport – 30 credits
• MSc Research Development and Practice – 60 credits
• Principles, Practice and Governance in Sports Management – 30 credits
• Strategic Leadership in Sport – 30 credits

There are no optional modules in this year.

 

2 years, part-time

 

Core modules currently in year 1 include:

• Managing Human Resources in Sport – 30 credits
• Strategic Leadership in Sport – 30 credits

• Global Sport Event Management – 30 credits
• MSc Research Development and Practice – 60 credits

Qualifications or experience

• A second class honours degree in a Sport, Business or Management subject. Applicants who hold a non-related degree will be considered on a case-by-case basis. For those who do not hold a degree or relevant professional qualification, extensive experience together with evidence of scholarly ability will be required.

English language requirements

• English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 with no component score below 6.0.

• Full-time – £8,100
• Part-time – £4,050 a year (subject to annual increase)

EU students

(including Transition Scholarship)

• Full-time – £16,200
• Part-time – £4,050 a year (subject to annual increase)

International students

• Full-time – £16,200
• Part-time – £8,100 a year (subject to annual increase)
