In the CWUR World University Rankings 2017, the UOP is ranked 503rd. The university's position in the world in the 2018 Times and Sunday Times University League Table was ranked 701st and 601st - 650th in the QS World University Rankings. Plymouth was ranked 65th out of 200 institutions by Times Higher Education in its 2017 World Young University Rankings, which placed it in the top 401st - 500th universities worldwide.
