Program Overview

Our Fine Art (MA) programme reflects and responds to the interdisciplinary nature of contemporary art and facilitates a culture of critical debate in a practice-based context. This programme of study values all forms of practice including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, installation, performance, photography and film. This master's course examines the role of the artist, both in terms of independent and collaborative modes of study, and promotes an analytical approach to art practice.

The programme encourages students to extend their practice across different disciplines, media and platforms and actively stimulates dialogue between creative practitioners, agencies and institutions.

- We normally require an undergraduate 2.1. However, we also consider candidates with relevant experience and aim to interview all applicants. Where possible, we invite prospective students to experience a day of teaching to see if it suits their expectations.
