Program Overview

South Wales University’s MEng (Hons) Aerospace Engineering aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills required in the aerospace industry. Flight vehicles encounter demanding conditions due to changes in atmospheric pressure and temperature, as well as structural loads applied to their components. The course is designed to meet the accreditation requirements of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) for Chartered Engineer status. It incorporates a live flight experience, reinforced by work in a flight simulator. The programme maintains strong links with the industry and places significant emphasis on student projects. Additionally, industrial placements are encouraged as part of a sandwich-year option.
