About
The University of Northampton is located in the beautiful town of Northampton, which is popular for its historic sites and museums. The university is a leading public university in Northampton, England. It was founded in 2005 after the amalgamation of a number of training colleges. The same year, it was granted a research degree-granting authority and a university status. It is one of the few universities that have been awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) and is also the first university in the country to be named 'Changemaker Campus’ in 2012
The university currently has around 14,000 students. Students are provided with undergraduate and postgraduate courses in a variety of fields, as well as various tutorials and seminars for their overall development. The faculties at Northampton University are divided into four faculties -

- Faculty of Health and Society
- Faculty of Business and Law
- Faculty of Education and Humanities
The university offers up to 29 elective subjects and 442 courses in total for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. All undergraduate Business, Computing, and Engineering courses and undergraduate Joint Honours programmes, offer the option of spending a full year in a work placement. Many courses include volunteer opportunities, study trips, placements, internships and exchanges in locations as diverse as the United States, Sri Lanka, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Malawi, Nepal, Spain, Vietnam, France, Scandinavia, China, Hong Kong and Japan.
In April 2016, the university collaborated with Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation and Northamptonshire County Council to launch a new venture called 'First for Wellbeing.' Waterside, a new campus with modern facilities, opened in 2018.
