Year 1

Year 2
 

On progression from first to second year you will have the opportunity to specialise in one of the disciplines introduced in your first year:
 

• Civil Engineering

• Engineering and Entrepreneurship

• Electronic Engineering

• Engineering and Management

• Mechanical Engineering
   

You will study a number of core modules and, depending upon your choice of specialism, select additional optional modules to complete the year's credits and complement your chosen discipline.

Final Years(3 & 4)

The modules studied in your third and fourth years will further develop your specialism. You will have the freedom to direct your studies, as you choose a larger number of the modules complementing the core teaching of the course. Some programmes will require that you undertake a group or individual project at this stage.

A-Level    

• AAA    
• GCE AL Maths grade A and another science* subject at grade A. Candidates may offer GCE AL Maths, Pure Maths or Further Maths
   

IB    

• 36/666    
• HL6 in Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches) and HL6 in another science subject. Applicants achieving IB Maths SL7 plus IB HL6 in Physics will also be considered.

BTEC    

• DDD    
   

GCSE    

• 4 or C    
• Grade 4/C in GCSE English language
   

Access to HE    

• 30 L3 credits at Distinction Grade and 15 L3 credits at Merit Grade    15 L3 credits at Distinction Grade in an acceptable Mathematics subject area and 15 L3 credits at Distinction Grade in another science subject area
