This programme aims to develop an awareness of broad educational issues. It’s well suited for applicants who would like to expand their existing knowledge in education or pursue a career in (international) schools or the third sector.
 

Your study on this programme will involve an examination of some of the major trends in the field of international education and emerging ideas. We offer:
 

• A foundation for education (through EFPM914: Educational Studies), which is well suited for students with and without previous experience of education
• A module specifically for education in an international and global context (EFPM912: Perspectives on International Education)
• A module that focuses on education from a policy perspective (EFPM910: Education Policy)
• A module that examines diversity and issues of identity in education (EFPM375: Education for Diversity)
• An elective module covering a variety of areas (such as creative arts, SEN, etc.)
• A module focused on experiencing and reflecting on educational practices
• A dissertation that will support you in designing and carrying out a small scale research project on an educational topic of your choice.

For admission to the programme we would normally expect that you hold a 2:1 Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area such as social sciences, humanities or education. While we normally only accept applicants who meet this criteria, if you have a high 2:2 or equivalent, are coming from a different academic background which is equivalent to degree level, or have relevant work experience, we would welcome your application.

  Overall score 6.5. No less than 6.0 in any section.
   

• TOEFL

  Overall score 90 with minimum scores of 21 for writing, 21 for listening, 22 for reading and 23 for speaking.

UK fees per year:
£8,500 full-time;
 

International fees per year:
£20,500 full-time
