About
The University of Bradford is a public research institution located in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1832 when the Mechanics Institute of the industrial West Yorkshire town was founded, and it obtained its royal charter in 1966, making it the 40th university to be established in Britain. It was the first British institution to create a Department of Peace Studies, which is now the largest university centre in the world for the study of peace and conflict. This department was established in 1973.

The university has one major campus where it is operational. The Forensic Examination Suite, Child Simulation Suite, The Amp, Polymer Engineering Research Laboratory, NMR Spectroscopy, X-Ray Crystallography, etc. are only a few of the outstanding facilities available at the university. It has 103 campus buildings and structures, including the gym, learning mall, TV studio, prayer room, apartment kitchen, and arts and crafts room.
