Swansea University offers a range of scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students, covering academic merit, sport, music and government-funded programmes. Some awards, such as the Thrive, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Alumni Bursaries, are applied automatically, while others, including the International Excellence, Sports and Music Scholarships, need a separate application. For the International Excellence Scholarship, students must already hold an offer from the university before they apply.

Important Points to Note
- Thrive, Nepal and Sri Lanka Bursaries: These are awarded automatically based on country of domicile, so no separate application is needed.
- International Excellence Scholarship: Students must complete the scholarship form for their region, meaning the country where they have lived for the last five years (not counting countries where they lived only to study). They should attach transcripts of previous studies to avoid delays.
- Sports Scholarship: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until all 60 places for the year are filled. The 2026–27 review dates are 31 August 2026, 26 October 2026, 25 January 2027 and 22 March 2027. Applicants need to provide details of their sporting achievements and goals, two named references, and their UCAS number or student number.
