About
The Royal Academy of Music (RAM), established in 1822 by John Fane and Nicolas-Charles Bochsa, is the oldest conservatoire in the United Kingdom. It is located in London, England. In 1830, King George IV granted it a royal charter with the help of the first Duke of Wellington. The academy's current facilities are located next to Regent's Park on Marylebone Road in the heart of London.

The Royal Academy of Music has an extensive collection of manuscripts, instruments and other facilities to learn and record music. Over 160,000 items, including important collections of early written and manuscript materials as well as audio resources, can be found in the school’s library. The music school provides professional recording spaces for recording. These recording rooms are available for students throughout their term period.
The Academy’s recording facilities have been thoroughly redeveloped as part of their major theatre construction project. In addition to filming many orchestral and other public events, provision for student recordings has been greatly increased.
