One of the best public universities in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, is Northumbria University. In the 2023 QS World University Rankings, it is ranked between 651 and 700. Since Northumbria University was ranked first among UK universities in the most recent world rankings, its expanding reputation for academic quality has been strengthened. Northumbria has consistently improved in previous years, moving up 17 spots in the last year to become the top-ranked institution in the UK and to be placed 80th overall. The university improved throughout the board, with the areas of the international view and research citations seeing the highest gains.
