MSc Nursing 20 Months

This course will focus on developing your core clinical, research and analytical skills to allow you to further explore nursing practice and management to enhance service improvement.

You will study a broad range of subjects including global health issues in the 21st century, theories and health related evidence, nursing practice and knowledge, research skills and systematic appraisal of published nursing research.

 

Learning and teaching strategies such as lectures, seminars, experiential learning and problem solving exercises will be utilised throughout your studies, all of which will be assessed via a mix of diagnostic evaluations, case studies, assignments and presentations.

 

You will also complete a final dissertation under the close guidance of our academic team.

• IM0724 -Nursing Knowledge and Safe Practice (Core,30 Credits)
• IM0726 -Research Methods for Nursing Practice (Core,30 Credits)

Year two

 

• IM0720 -Dissertation: Systematic Appraisal of Published Nursing Research (Core,60 Credits)

Entry Requirements 2022/23

 

Standard Entry

 

Applicants should normally have:

 

A minimum of a 2:2 honours degree in a relevant subject.

 

Registration as a nurse (or a license to practice as a nurse) with a nursing regulator or appropriate licensing board / health department.

 

International qualifications:

English language requirements:

 

International applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with 6 in each component (or approved equivalent*).
