This course will encourage you to acquire a flexible and imaginative approach to problem solving through enquiry-based learning. Cultural, critical, and professional practice studies provide a social, historical and professional context to the subject discipline, developing your knowledge and insight into your own personal practice.

 

Working in studio groups, you will learn to be flexible and collaborative, to identify and redefine problems in a creative way, and focus on solutions that are both relevant and considerate.

 

You will create your work from concept to realisation using traditional, new and emerging technology, and you will learn to present your work and ideas to a variety of audiences in both academic and industry practice situations.

 

Assessments are planned to support your progression and use a range of different methods, including design project portfolios and design project work, in line with skills required by industry.

Standard Entry

 

120 UCAS Tariff points

 

From a combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications which may include: A-level, T Level, BTEC Diplomas/Extended Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, Access to HE Diplomas, or the International Baccalaureate.

 

Subject Requirements:

 

There are no specific subject requirements for this course.

 

GCSE Requirements:

 

Applicants will need Maths and English Language at minimum grade 4/C, or an equivalent.

 

Additional Requirements:

 

A portfolio of creative design work is required. 

 

International Qualifications:

 

We welcome applicants with a range of qualifications which may not match those shown above.

 

English Language Requirements:

 

International applicants should have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with 5.5 in each component (or an approved equivalent*).

Fees and Funding 2022/23 Entry

UK Fee in Year 1: £9,250

* The maximum tuition fee that we are permitted to charge for UK students is set by government. Tuition fees may increase in each subsequent academic year of your course, these are subject to government regulations and in line with inflation.

EU Fee in Year 1: £16,500

 

International Fee in Year 1: £16,500

The Interior Design course is designed to support the development of your intellectual, practical and transferable skills to prepare you for employment upon graduation or further study.

 

You will graduate as highly employable industry-ready professionals, able to confidently offer solutions to complex and challenging interior design briefs. You will be able to demonstrate entrepreneurial capabilities and resourcefulness in the application of processes, aesthetics, function and materials.

 

Our Interior Design degree graduates work as interior designers for leading design companies and architectural practices across the UK and abroad, such as Foster and Partners, Met Studio, Dalziel and Pow, Gensler, Paul Smith, Imagination and Zebra.
