The modules listed below are for the academic year 2022/23 and represent the course modules at this time. Modules and module details (including, but not limited to, location and time) are subject to change over time.

Year 1 modules include:
 

• Digital Media Project Management (core, 20 credits)
• Digital Media Research Project (core, 60 credits)
• Principles of Digital Media (core, 20 credits)
• Digital Journalism (option, 20 credits)
• Digital Media Strategy and Consultancy (option, 20 credits)
• Digital Storytelling (option, 20 credits)
• Digital Video Production (option, 20 credits)
• Games and Gamification (option, 20 credits)
• Interaction Design (option, 20 credits)
• Web Design (option, 20 credits)
• Work Related Learning (option, 20 credits)

You will be required to have:
 

• an upper second class (2.1) Honours degree (or equivalent)

If you have a lower qualification grade but substantial relevant experience in the design, media or communications industries you're still encouraged to apply. You’ll be asked to provide a written summary of your work history demonstrating its relationship to the aims of the course.

Additionally, there may be other activities that are not formally part of your course and not required to complete your course, but which you may find helpful (for example, optional field trips). The costs of these are additional to your tuition fee and the fees set out above and will be notified when the activity is being arranged.
