Modular structure

The modules listed below are for the academic year 2022/23 and represent the course modules at this time. Modules and module details (including, but not limited to, location and time) are subject to change over time.

Year 1 modules include:
 

• Data Analysis for Global Business (core, 20 credits)
• Environmental Economics and Investment (core, 20 credits)
• Fundamentals of CSR and Sustainability (core, 20 credits)
• Practical Sustainability (core, 20 credits)
• Business Consultancy Project-portfolio assessment (alternative core, 60 credits)
• Dissertation (alternative core, 60 credits)
• Professional Development and Work Placement (alternative core, 60 credits)
• Business Work Placement Project (option, 20 credits)
• Financial Regulation and Compliance (option, 20 credits)
• Growth, Trade and Development (option, 20 credits)
• International Corporate Finance (option, 20 credits)
• International Logistics (option, 20 credits)
• Leading and Developing People (option, 20 credits)
• Sustainability in Global Companies (option, 20 credits)

You will be required to have:
 

• a good bachelor’s degree (2.2) in any subject

Exceptionally, candidates with significant CSR experience at a senior level may be considered. Interviews are generally required for non-standard entry.

Please note, in addition to the tuition fee there may be additional costs for things like equipment, materials, printing, textbooks, trips or professional body fees.

Additionally, there may be other activities that are not formally part of your course and not required to complete your course, but which you may find helpful (for example, optional field trips). The costs of these are additional to your tuition fee and the fees set out above and will be notified when the activity is being arranged.

By the end of the degree, you'll have an understanding of the complex area of CSR, allowing you to become a fully-informed sustainability professional and keep abreast of current developments to critically analyse and evaluate the issues surrounding the implications of CSR.
