Foundation Certificate in Dance

at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts

The course is built around a rigorous programme of dance technique training including Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary and Commercial styles. Your technique and performance skills are developed alongside each other to make you a stronger performer. These fundamentals are complemented by additional classes in tap and musical theatre skills and masterclasses with leading industry professionals. There are two formal opportunities to perform in our Paul McCartney Auditorium. During the year, you work with different choreographers and participate in the process of creating dance pieces. You learn audition technique to prepare you for further education applications and professional work opportunities.
