Foundation Certificate in Acting

The year is structured to complement audition schedules at specialist UK actor training institutions, preparing you for the process and its rigorous demands. You work with solo-storytelling, acting styles and practitioner approaches on contemporary and classic texts, building a portfolio of material. A series of mock auditions before professional panellists help you enhance the standard of your individual audition pieces. Movement and voice studies prepare you for the demands of workshop auditions. Insights into industry developments arm you with the knowledge to express your understanding of contemporary acting and performance practices in interview settings. At the end of the year you consolidate the strands of your training in a performance project.
