Year 1
You gain the tools and framework for approaching and responding to dramatic and creative stimuli. In The Actor's Technique modules, you focus on the technical principles of naturalistic technique. This is supported by rigorous fundamental training in voice and movement. A grounding in cultural perspectives provides an intellectual underpinning, and you explore artistic creation, collaboration and elements of professional development. Throughout this year you also build your scriptwriting proficiency and develop your reasoning and collaborative skills.

Year 2
You explore advanced acting techniques and refine your own screen acting skills for studio-based screen work, from sitcom to continuing drama. In The Actor's Process modules, you continue to develop your specialist technical skills in acting, voice and movement and consider how to apply these to different media like motion capture, CGI, gaming and voice for audio. Throughout this year you also build on your scriptwriting skills, as well as directing to investigate different narrative forms for specific mediums. You are introduced to interdisciplinary and entrepreneurial work, building your understanding of professional practice.

Year 3
During your final year, you present yourself as a professional with the potential to progress toward your own portfolio career. You work with professional directors on a variety of media productions and enhance your skills in post-production. You will work with mentors to create cross-disciplinary live and mixed-media works, generating material for a digital portfolio, giving you the resources to market yourself to a wide industry audience. Finally, you are prepared you for the challenges of your professional career, exploring an issue relevant to your craft in a unique, independent practice-as-research project.
